Ladyfingers biscuits dipped in coffee, mascarpone cheese cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder: here you are the preparation of Tiramisù, a well-spread Italian dessert.
Easy and fast to be made, without cooking, this dessert was born right in Venetian region and, since last century, it has begun to spread all over Italy. Marciana Restaurant chefs are proud to include Tiramisù in the restaurant’s menu, prepared everyday following the original recipe. But be careful not to get confused, Tiramisù is an unique course despite the similarities with foreign desserts: the charlotte, for examples, that is made with bavarese cream and ladyfingers biscuits, and the trifle (known in Italy as zuppa inglese), with ladyfingers biscuits dipped in the Italian liquor Alchèrmes, are easy to be mistaken by the non-experts.
In the end, if you want to drink a glass of sweet wine, we recommend a Moscato from Piedmont or a Malvasia from Sicily. Cheers!
